Our
board of
Directors
The Fondation counts on people that are both committed and dedicated to the cause. Our board of directors – past and present – is comprised of seasoned business people, who generously share their expertise and skills to help improve the mental health of children and adolescents in Quebec.
Our board members share three key ingredients to help solve problems on behalf of the foundation:
experience, good sense, and a lot of heart.

Chantal Lacroix
President
President - Productions Kenya
Host, producer, designer, editor, businesswoman and philanthropist
Chantal's desire to help others was inspired at the age of 7 after experiencing the gratitude expressed by a homeless person to whom she offered food. This life changing moment would go on to inform her career, dovetailing with the production of her show Donnez au suivant, an homage to the value of paying forward good deeds. As the foundation’s spokesperson, she works to raise awareness around mental health and to give young people the tools they need to cope with daily life.

Me Extra Junior Laguerre
Vice-President
Tax lawyer
As a child, Extra Junior Laguerre was attracted to law and order but dreamed of becoming a secret agent. With this in mind, and in his current field of law and taxation, he admits to feeling a bit out of place. His sense of humour and vivaciousness contribute to this uniqueness. His involvement in the foundation and various legal organizations is motivated by his desire to affect change, which often leaves him a little less time to devote to his other passion: cycling.

Toni Dilli
Treasurer
Partner, KPMG
The father of an autistic teenager with a mild intellectual disability, Toni Dilli can attest to the impact that organizations like our foundation have on our youth. He's also familiar with the unease, judgements and inappropriate comments that misunderstanding around mental health disorders, and other unusual behaviours associated with them, can cause. These are just a few reasons why this eternally optimistic fan of basketball and carpentry is motivated to contribute to our work by juggling what he knows best: numbers!

Sylvie Lauzon
Secretary
Artist-Painter
Alternately godmother, spokesperson, administrator and general manager of our foundation, Sylvie Lauzon has petits trésors tattooed on her heart. The lifelong mission of this former host and journalist is to raise awareness around mental health issues that affect young people–always stressing the importance of acting early. As the mother of an autistic boy who has grown into an accomplished adult thanks to her persistence, she speaks from experience. A painter, Sylvie also creates with words, writing poetry, and with used materials, which she recycles and integrates into her works.

Caroline Boisjoly
Administrator
Psychoeducator
At first she wanted to be a teacher, but when she heard about psychoeducation, that was it! Caroline Boisjoly's great strength is her ability to always see the potential in young people. This is what drives her to help them develop and to accompany them to surpass themselves, especially on the ski slopes where she acts as a facilitator. She is involved on many levels to break taboos, improve quality of life and support a maximum number of families affected by mental health.

Catherine Laporte
Administrator
Vice President of Marketing, Lowe’s Canada
Empathetic and good at making people feel comfortable, Catherine Laporte got involved in the foundation to make the invisible visible, and to demystify and democratize everything that impacts mental health issues for young people. She believes that every child has the right to reach their full potential and that by intervening early, we give them the best chance at success. While she admits to loving all the epicurean pleasures in life, this marketing expert compensates by taking conscious care of all aspects of her health.

Patrick Welsh
Administrator
Vice President, Human Resources, Intact Financial Corporation
You could say that Patrick Welsh was destined to work in human resources and mental health. Even as a teenager, he put his attentiveness, resilience and calm demeanour to work at the service of Tel-Aide. In addition to his versatility and adaptability, which allows him to be a fish in water wherever he goes, Patrick also stands out on the waves. He finished 6th in the world in his category with his dragon boat team at the 2014 Club Crew World Championships in Italy, adding a stamp among many more to come in this aspiring globe-trotter's passport.

A team player with an immense capacity for listening and driven by a keen desire to help others, Marc Labonté has worked closely with the clientele that constitutes the raison d'être of our foundation.
